“Usedtocould is not a word” says my young little friend at work. This word may not be in the dictionary but it is frequently used in my vocabulary.
I usedtocould…
- party until dawn
- clean the entire house on Friday night after working all day and before partying all night.
- see my feet without leaning over
- do cartwheels
- shop all day and half the night
- sing in public
- play softball
- sleep on the floor
- sit Indian style for hours
- open jars
- wear a bikini
- turn a few heads
- read without reading glasses
- stand the cold weather
- dance all night
- wear high heels
- talk my way out of speeding tickets with a little wink

Whoa! What a fun question. I am going to have to give it some thought and come back. There are so many "usedtocoulds" it could get scary and take up a bunch of space on your comment section!!
you have to be from Texas to understand "usedtocould" I like your list...the one I hate the most is having to wear reading glasses to look at photos...I "usedtocould" see just fine without any help...now sometimes even have to add a magnifying glass with my glasses....
I miss getting out of bed in the morning and feeling great. These days I have to have a cup of coffee to move. Thanks for sharing.
What a fun question! I usedtocould sleep through the night and wake up without hurting! I usedtocould get off the floor as easily as I got there!
This just struck home with me the other day...I was at the cashier (a cute young man) with my cute young niece(25 years old) paying for the paint for her house re-do. I might as well have been INVISIBLE!! It's like Hello..I am here..lol...I didn't say a word about it...just know it is now time to pass the torch..hope she has as much fun as I did!!! (She is the light of my life..in her second year of law school)....
I "usedtocould" eat a whole bag of BBQ potato chips with a Pepsi after dinner while watching TV and not gain 1 stinkin' ounce. I "usedtocould" order Dominos three times a week(long, long time ago)and share a bottle of Sangria with CH and not gain 1 stinkin' ounce and feel none the worse for it.
I "usedtocould" ride horses till I thought my butt was going to fall off and still be able to walk the next day. Dang.
Your list works good for me too but I never was ever able to handle walking in high heels.
Rural Rambler--I was referring to high heal boots...I've never been one for stilleto's.
Ain't for city gals-- it's time for me to pass the torch too. My nieces are the light of my eye too.
Jayme--I can't even get off the floor anymore without help from the ottoman.
Rhonda-- I know what ya mean. I require 2 full cups befoe I can blog...
Deb-- I can no longer blog without the reading glasses either...
Thanks to all for your comments. All of you are a bright spot in my days.

Usedtocould has always been in my vocabulary as a native east Texan. I totally get usedtocould and sometimes you add 've on the end of it. Usedtocould've works, too.
I usedtocould read without the reading glasses, too. I usedtocould jump up off the couch or the bed and not have to get the old joints working first. I usedtocould be a nightowl. Now, I'm al done in by about 8:00 p.m. I usedtocould work out in the yard or the garden and get up and do it all again the next day!
I think my list would match up with yours purty good!
