This is What I’m Talking About

IMG_1412

THIS is what I’m talking about.  We went North again yesterday to look at land so we can get the ball rolling on “Operation Get The Hell Out Of Dodge”.  There are many horse ranches in this area and numerous cattle ranches and it’s about an hour and 15 minutes from our house.

The weather was beautiful, just a little chilly with clear blue sky’s.  We looked at several properties but none of them were “the one”.  We are headed back out today to look at a couple more.  One property on the list for today is 17 acres with a creek and trees and the other is 9 acres with a pond, trees, fences, septic and water.  Hopefully one of them will be as beautiful as these are.

I hope all of you have a beautiful sunshine filled day.

Hope you find "the one" soon. I looked at something like 73 parcels before I found "the one." Wouldn't it be fun if HGTV had a "Land Hunters" - the criteria are so much different than when you're looking for a house.

Oh wow!!! I can totally tell we are kindred spirits.

I came to visit from Texas Blogging Gals...and I, too, live in suburban hell! :)

I would LOVE to live on the land you just showed. However, I have a husband with a "big city job", so I think my chances of living on spacious land are nill to none. So, I dream. And try not to be discontent! :)

Blessings~

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Either way...both properties with water? That in itself sounds wonderful. Just think of all the birds & ducks & fish you could have.

PS - Can you tell I'm missing Spring?

Much love from an overseas Army wife,
Jennifer

I best not show my husband these photos...he's been wanting to 'retire' out in the country. From the looks of your pics, you've found some really nice Texas real estate! By the way...thanks for visiting my blog!
