Made this for Super bowl Sunday for the carnivore’s. I didn’t hear any complaints.
- 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1-2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1-2 tablespoons hickory liquid smoke
- 2 cups water
Use a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Mix spices and rub into pork and place in pot. Add liquids and onions.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat shreds easily with forks. Turn meat over after 6 hours or so. I had to add a little more season after I shredded the meat and tasted it, I used Tony Chachere's. Serve on toasted buns with provolone or over rice.
Ahhhheeeeee!

That sounds really good, I may have to try that one soon, after I try out some of your Tex Mex recipes(my favorite food). Happy Valentines Day!
That sounds really good for the kind of weather we are having today....woke up to about 3 inches of snow and it is still coming down. I'm gong to check out the Cornbread Taco Bake on your page also.
Hmmmm....might have to go back to eating pork to try this..
I have just one question...how many WW points is a serving of this yummy pork? HAPPY V DAY to you!
Blessings,
Linda

Sounds like our type of food. I should send my daughter over to your house next time you make this. She loves meat. She is learning how to cook, so I will pass her your recipe...YUM.
God Bless You!

Good Morning LSQ! Excellent recipe to come home to at your blog. When I do pulled pork I buy a pork loin, stick in the slow cooker, shred the pork and throw on whatever BBQ sauce is available in the fridge. Your recipe sounds way much more better. We love pulled pork sandwiches :)
Your snow posts are absolutely beautiful, sad to see the porch abused and tortured that way though. I look at that porch of yours and I see me with a wonderful glass of wine on a beautiful sunny Texas afternoon with just the slightest breeze..... But that snow. Shudder. Your snow came flying across Mississipi and flying some more into the panhandle of Floreedada and then into Atlanta on our first day driving home and got us stuck in Atlanta traffic for over an hour creeping because those peeps in Atlanta were totally panicked over a 1/2 inch of snow!!!
Oh we are home. 6 inches of snow on the ground, I think it is that Texas snow that gave itself freely to all :) The End.
Sounds delicious. I can't wait to try it.
I bet all you heard was munching and swallowing!
Yum! I have to try this.
